That's history. The audience is already here, and it's not going away no matter what happens to Microsoft.

We can sit and debate the history of MS's contribution to the PC audience all day, and I agree it is a valuable contribution. But that doesn't really matter nowadays.

Well my point is Valve depends on MS.

Nintendo for example doesn't. But Valve does.
