In the case of PC the service it offers is actually better, especially where it counts as nearly all PC games have dedicated servers, mods and services like Steam offer the extra features of Live anyway.

I find it funny when people who don't use the 360 or Live comment on a service they have never used. 

I have a 360 and I have a Silver account because I saw nothing of value in the Gold service that I wasn't getting elsewhere for free. If I was a big Halo fan that might be different, but as I mainly play CoD and L4D, the PC seems like the better option with dedicated servers (not including MW2) and mods.

Out of interest, what is it about Live over other services that makes it worth paying? Is it just the exclusives or am I missing something?
