Interesting, I wonder what this means for the 3DS. The optimistic side of me wants to believe that this move is to get the DSi away from the $199 price that the 3DS will be at, and since they are doing it now maybe that means 3DS will get here in 2010 afterall.
The realistic side of me knows that without any big games for the West (like Pokemon Black/White), this small price cut is just to keep strong sales of the DS this holiday, before the 3DS arrives early next year. Most likely at a $250 price because who wouldn't just pay $30 more for a 3DS instead of a DSi XL?
Oh well, only a month left until we find out.
