There is a difference between Islam and all the other religions. Holy war. There have been errors in Christianity, hundreds of years ago, but the crusades aren't one of the precepts of Christianity, they were errors of a time where popes were also kings.

It all comes down to misinterpretations of said religions though. Technically, in Islam, war is only meant to be waged if you are defending and they also have set rules about combat which are completely opposed to terrorist activity.
