As I said, there are always exceptions. In general though, PC games don't make near the amount of money console games do.

I'd like to see some sources and numbers to back up that claim as whilst I hear people say this all the time I don't see any evidence for it. The big studios still release multiplats on PC and there are a ridiculous number of small, indie and casual studios releasing more and more games on PC.

If you'd like to see the numbers, find them yourself. If you simply think about it for a moment and realize it's by far the easiest to pirate a game on the PC and not everyone has a PC that can even run the newest games, it's not hard to just assume I'm right.
As for small studios, it's easier for them on PC because Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony has to give you the privilege of making a game on their console. If you can't afford the dev kit or even prove that you really are going to make a game, you're SOL. Luckily Nintendo and MS both made it a bit easier with WiiWare and whatever the Xbox Indie thing is (and I think Sony has too with the micro games, never looked at those).
Still though, for small Indie studios, PC is generally easier or cheaper but if you think those are going to be uber polished and as flashy as the big games...

Apparently the numbers seem to contradict your logic, seeing how both the dutch and US governments have found that piracy doesn't affect actual sales, furthermore, the "newest" games are runnable on a PC from 2004, so it indeed is very VERY hard to assume you are right about anything you mentioned.
Also you defense of "oh I said there are excepstions" is kind of hilarious. The biggest, and I mean the biggest money games ever made have been PC games (Wii Sports, while sold a lot didn't actually make money from the bundles). In fact, WoW, the game from 2004, probably still makes more a year than most of the biggest sellers, and that has been going on since 04. In fact the ONLY games that can measure up to WoW would be MW2, but I highly doubt MW2 has made more money than WoW so far. Want to look at the profits from the Sims? Even the mediocre SC2 seems to be making some very serious bucks.

That's just incorrect. They made studies that suggested piracy didn't hurt the national economy as a whole, but it certainly affects sales in a very negative way.
And a smart although rabid man like you should have the IQ to figure out that console sales absolutely slay PC games in revenue and profitability, even without hard facts in front of your nose.

No read them again, they said that they couldn't find anythign that suggested that the industries were hurt, and as far as the national economy, they found that piracy may improve it.
Also as far as sales and money , how much do companies have to give to console manufacturers? In fact I already pointed out in this thread that in the very quarter that Activision had MW2 record breaking sales they barely BARELY made it in the black. In fact if they did not have Blizzard around they would have been in the red, on their best, record breaking sales quarter. Now if you don't have the IQ to see that the PC is what is keeping most of the publishers out there afloat (THQ had DoWII for instance), then I am sorry.
