Will Microsoft lose the hardcore fans next gen?

Why do you assume they won't come out with more core IPs this or next gen?

Sony for example didn't have the Uncharted, Resistence, and Motorstorm IPs until this gen.

In time we'll see new core games from MS.

Nothing is stopping MS from making more core IP's, and every new gen will issue in more. Given their smaller first party though, unless they aquire more studios or recruit a third party to make the game, it may be the case that old IP's like the ones above would have to be put to one side for their internal studios to work on new IPs.

That's what Sony did this gen though, plenty of franchises from the PS2 era haven't been continued.
