ME2 was never exclusive, don't kid yourself.
That said, it's good that more people will be able to play this excellent game. The only downside i see at this point is ps3-only players missing out on the even better ME1. I think that having new players jump into ME2 without first experiencing ME1 is a mistake, but I'll wait and see how Bioware plans to handle it.
