I can't read the whole thread but you keep seem to be saying it is the GAMES that people want on the Wii. To that point, you are correct. People find the games fun to play and enjoy the games. Part of the reason that they find the games fun to play though is through the interface.
As many have stated. WiiSports without motion controls would have failed IMO. It would be the same game, but people wouldn't have fun with it. I mean, the GH/RB games would have failed if you just had to play with a controller. People liked the idea of "playing an instrument" and the controls mapped better to a straight line than a normal controller.
So yeah, you're right the games are why people bought it but the games wouldn't have been fun without the motion controls to most people. <yoda> Two peas in a pod software and interface are. </yoda>
