not bragging, the whole point of that was to show you it wasn't selling poorly at the 599 price point, it SOLD OUT at the 599 price point, it's just Sony didn't make that many. selling 400k units is nothing to brag about, selling out all of your  stock with extreme demand is, and Sony did the latter, but looking at the latter would have put Sony is a more positive light than what there were and well, Sony waz EVIL so we couldn't have that., 

and then on to price cuts, and judging by your response you were probably riding the if xbox wasn't around the ps3 would still be 599 bullshit bandwagon, see here's where that's bullshit and you and many others honestly thought Sony was an EVIL bastard. Ok so as I said before when in the hell was 599 a mass market price??? an Arrogant Sony would have kept it there for longer than they did, they knew they need to cut the price and fast, competition had littler to no effect over this, because either this is your first gen in gaming and or you choose to forget the previous 2 generation where Sony had 75% market share and STILL yup that's right STILL cut the price of the ps2 and ps1. and they stayed in last ONLY because the second place guy got a year in a half head start, in fact if you line up the launches the ps3 is in second, and the wii is in first because it not competing and has appealed to a bigger market, but as I said before looking at things that way would put Sony in a better light than what they were and well, we just can't have that now can we.

Nintendo had a chance to learn from Sony.......  then they released the gamecube.

now no one is denying the ps3 lost Sony billions, billion that they lost themselves by going out on a risk, a risk that only now is starting to benefit them. they'll make back their money because contrary to popular belief Sony isn't stupid and knows exactly what they're doing, the sooner people can finally see that the FUTURE will get here the better off we'll all be. 

You have a lot of faith in Sony and a lot of excuses. But you've gotta come to terms with the fact they made some horrible decisions this gen. The PS3 will never be profitable.
