I looked at the posts on your profile and....do you have anything positive to say.... there was a point in my life when I was a negative person, you will find out that if you think psotive, positive things will happen. I tought the post was good. By the way this is off topic video discussion if you do not like it then do not respond. Don't bring others down by exerting your negativity! Thanks in advance-D |
I was asking a question, not “bringing down others by exerting my negativity”.
As far as I’m concerned this thread is just a side effect of the overblown media coverage of this incident.
Just like the Diana case which was mentioned above. In that scenario you had a country in which most of its inhabitants had virtually no emotional feelings whatsoever towards the princess, and only after her death, when the story is blown through the roof, we get an army of mourners crying at the great loss.
The power of the media is truly omnipotent.
Now the case of one British girl gets a field day of attention and funding while in 2005 statistics indicate at least one person (man, woman, or child) was kidnapped in Columbia on average every three hours. Did anyone even hear of that?
It’s good that this case is getting funds and attention, but all cases should! And it’s a pity that it starkly highlights the fact that only the cases that really pull the emotional strings will end up getting similarly noticed.
If this thread was some how connected to the investigation, and people were allowed to submit information, or even if they could give condolences to the parents of the victim (that might actually get seen), I would see a point.
Sorry for the font but I couldnt post on the page without it crashing. so had to copy and paste it from elsewhere.
