No, I'm afraid you are mistaken. Using the PS2's sucess to make it look like a console that is actually doing very well, isn't doing so is a common way of trolling.
Regardless, comparing the PS3 to the Dreamcast is not a stupid comparison, it's logical. Comparing the console with the least million sellers this gen to the console with the least million sellers last gen. Makes perfect sense
