eventually japan is going to matter a lot..

At this point, Japan matters more as a center for development imo. The industry itself is still big, but it's shrinking due to Japan's birthrate crisis. And for consoles it's pretty much purely secondary, handhelds have taken over in every sense. That said, there's pretty much no way PS3 will ever exceed Wii's lifetime sales in the region.
I do think PS3 (and 360) will weather 3DS better than Wii does though. Better luck with Wii 2 Nintendo...

Consider your pro HD bias exposed!
Out of curiosity why do you think that?
|
lol!
Because why make Wii games when you can make 3DS games?
|
That comment makes no sense. Why make PS3 games in Japan when you can make PSP games instead. It has a larger fanbase.
|
Because the gap in graphics power between PSP and PS3 is way larger than the gap between Wii and 3DS
At least thats what I think Jarrod meant.

I'm confused? Are you saying that you think he meant that since the Wii and 3Ds are close graphically that a developer should chose to develop for the 3DS instead of the Wii?

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba
