I think you have to be very careful to judge value versus price of a game. I'm not saying it's easy and it's apparent how problematic it is when expansions are reviewed because they always tend to get 10 points lower than the original game, despite the cost. |
There will always be changes down the line that can make a review of the game on launch day inaccurate. What happens if Sega goes back and fixes up Bayonetta on PS3? If Modnation Racers puts in a patch that makes the loading times 3 seconds at most should we go back and rescore it? No, all we can do is write a review based on the condition of the game at the time of writing and if that changes later we can add a note on the bottom but we can't change our scores or act like differences don't exist because they may change later.
