Might? I'm pretty sure each WILL give a boost. The $199 price point's boost will be permanent. It's how much that no one can calculate.

well i was saying according to preorders that gt5 is receiving its far more less than expected so according to this isaid Gt5 if ps3 is 199 might give a boost whether its short term or long term and if they bring ps2 backwards compatibility then it will be certainly huge

What is expected? Unless it's from Sony, other expectations are irrelevant. Besides, GT5 will have it's bigeest boost in EU, not the US (where we track preorders).

As I said, both will give a boost, easily.

well as it is the most featured racing game at least i was expecting it would have at least 1 million pre orders in us alone now thats my opinion thats it

Lol.....but your opinion doesn't/won't determine if GT5 will cause a boost or not (which was the basis of the discussion). It's your opinion that GT5 may perform under expectations (even though, we have none). It's a fact that both GT5 & the $199 price point will cause a boost in PS3 hardware.
