You seem to be quite misguided, or misinformed? Mainstream media, Fox, CNN, MSNBC the whole lot is a big freaking joke. When Bush was in office Fox News, along with Riley and Hannity was doing the same thing you are accusing Mathews of doing now with President Obama. MSNBC is not as liberal as you may want to believe. They are owned by GE which is really an industrial corporation making most of its money from arming soldiers in war. There is only a point to where the discussion even goes or how far the discussion goes on any given topic. On any given station.
This is not news. It is brainwashing. This isn't even a MOSQUE being built, its a community center not unlike a YMCA. On top of this there are Mosque's all over that area all ready. The actions of a few extremists and punishing or blaming a religion is not unlike blaming all Christianity for the actions of Timothy Mcveigh. I'm not even religious! I'm a native New Yorker, not some mid western yokel or southern states rights, confederate flag wearing prick. And the New Yorkers I know don't give a damn about this non issue. It's purpose is to keep you looking one way while they give you the shaft the other. Not unlike a baby with a shaker.

I really don't understand the argument that no one should be offended, because it's not really a mosque, it's actually mosque and a swimming pool.
Also, Timothy McVeigh wasn't a Christian. He said, and I quote, "Science is my religion." You seem to be misguided or misinformed.

But many that are talking about this community center don't even live in the state they are so concerned about. Plus, I'm not mad at all, I don't care about any religion, but you folks that do can't be hypocrits. And my quote on McVeigh came from Ron Paul, and besides, showing christians doing un-christian like acts is quite easy. Look at Bush, he's Christian and waged an illegal war in Iraq which killed how many civilians? Makes 911 look like a minor isolated event. Does that mean all Christians are extremists? Oh, and also, talk about misguided, a community center with a place to pray makes it a mosque? Its a YMCA for Muslims, and you don't even have to be a muslim to go there. And there are all ready many mosques in and around that area. Ever been to New York? Typical.
