Why would M$ change their server rule when FF11 sold so poorly on both the PS2 and 360. Both of these platforms were really poor. The 360 actually outselling the PS2 in less time.

thats cause FF11 was already an old game,FF13 was coming up and this would be a good way to get near SE

If I was M$ I would continue to hold fast. 200,000 sales lifetime is not enough to change policy.

What? M$ didnt comprise with MHFO. You can only play with other 360 users. M$ do not ask for you to be a Gold member to play paid Online MMO's. Because all the MMO's on 360 do not use the same Live format as normal online multiplayer. They are only accessed via Live. 

It has nothing to do with 2 fees. It never has. 

It's about allowing 360 owners to play competiton console players. Something the Live code forbids. 

It was fine with FF11, because you could only play with PC users. If anyone thinks FF14 will sell well on consoles they are dreaming. PS3 version will hit 400,000 Lifetime tops. Thats at best. The sales will be on PC where MMO's of this type are best suited. 

PSU on the other hand has consoles designed for it's style of play.

Form Feedback FF14 is very much designed as a console MMO

In fact they have made it so that the main quests are pretty much like a single player FF in terms of story/characters but there is much more other optional stuff (tons of it) including guilds and so on for more traditional MMO players.

They are trying to bridge the gap.

I'd be glad to be wrong on the sales of FF14.

But the past doesnt give alot of confidence to a comapny like M$ to change their rules.

Regardless. My point of the closed servers is FACTUAL.

There is no evidence to support the claim M$ want to charge for FF14 along with Square via Gold membership. It has always been very clear, M$ do not want cross console playing and this is the brick wall that has been hit with FF14 on 360 right now. 

That's what the closed server refers to. PC is fine. But Wii and PS3 is a no go. 

Why users here are making up BS about other stuff is beyond me, with absolutely no evidence to support their claims.
