The 3DS will be released roughly around the end of 2010 and the start of 2011, however how well will it sell? In comparison with the DS I believe it will perform better during the start of its life however will stay ahead of the DS' sales on a regular basis. So what do I predict?

Yes I believe the 3DS can surpass 20m in its first year of sales, however I also predict that the 3DS' sales will slow down a year after leaving it with roughly 38m. Remember the 3DS is one of the most anticipated consoles (and handhelds) in the history of gaming. Will over 50% of Japan's population own a 3DS?
