I have come to the realization that I don't think it matters that 360 has a weak game lineup people will still buy the system. It does really well in the US and UK and the only place it is a real failure is Japan. People have been saying since 2008 that Sony has had a better software lineup and for my money they have yet the 360 continues to survive on the backs of 3rd party multi-plats. It really is the strangest thing, for my money blu-ray> dvd, reliable console > rrod, quite> loud, better software> mostly multi-plat. Yet, 360 was not only able to overcome those short comings they flourished. The comes the S, which takes away a couple of main deficiencies adding wifi, fixing rrod, making the system quiter and the system takes off again.

So as a Sony fan I hope the no blu ray and weaker software lineup catches up to the 360 but as realist it probably wont matter

Thats bs. For one Microsoft has had an amazing software lineup since launch, and I prefer the exclusive lineup over the PS3 lineup. Look at 2011, PS3 has GT5, LBP2, GoW3, and Heavy Rain. 360 has Halo: Reach, Fable 3, Alan Wake, Crackdown 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, and Mass Effect 2. Microsoft has had a very strong exclusive software lineup, to say otherwise is just favoring PS3 exclusives over 360 exclusives. Also speaking of better software lineup for your money, go to the store, hopw many good PS3 titles are under $20? Not many. 360 has a lot more, multiplatform titles are cheaper used on the 360 by at least $5-10 per game, and a lot of the old "timed exclusives" are half the price or less of the PS3 counterparts. Why would I pay $45 for GTA: Episodes from liberty city on PS3 used, when I can pick it up for $20 on the 360 used?

Also the Fail rate was fixed with the HDMI model of 360 way back in 2008, your just using that to hurt the 360 image to prove your point now.

Blue-Ray has nothing to do with gaming, and with the ability to download 1080p movies for free stright off your Xbox or PC, why does this matter?

Thats the only thing Sony ever had on Microsoft, that and the noise, which is fixed with the Slim model, and really isn't that bad for the old SKU 360. It's just a fan blowing.

Microsoft has a better online network, and achievements for ALL games, it also comes with the option to only get the 4 gig arcade model now, and thats a bargan because why do I need a 250 gig hard drive on my 360? Saves only take up megabits, and a 16 gig thumb drive to expand the memory is only $10. 360 Slim Arcade is a huge bargan.

I mean I have never filled up my 20 gig 360 hard-drive, and I have map packs for many games, and The Shivering Isles on it. I did take an old 8 gig hard drive I found recently to use to transfer my profile for when I visit a friend (because on 360 you can have two profiles logged onto the same console, and both get achievements), and to store old saves onto, but still 20 gigs was plenty.

I have both a PS3 and a 360, and to be honest I only play my PS3 for exclusives, Multiplatform games almost always play better on the 360, and used they are significantly cheaper. I can also use two accounts for two players, have a multi-game party... The whole 360 network is just a lot better then PSN.

I agree the 360 does have a significant amount of cheaper timed exclusives. And I won't argue with your gaming preference but you did forget Yakuza 3, MAG, White Knight Chronicles, Mod Nation Racers, MLB The Show 2010, and 3d Dot Game Heroes. The point was since 2008 the general consensus PS3 has had the better exclusive lineup and it hasn't affected sales much.

Yes the hdmi version improved RROD but did not fix it completely.

You argue blu-ray doesn't matter because you can download movies, yet you talk about how you don't need space but the Dark Knight at 1080 16x9 is 11.1 GB.

Without any movies or music on my system I have filled over 200 gb on my PS3.

I won't argue that Live has the better integrated experience but I prefer the price of PSN over Live and I enjoy not listening to a dozen 12 year olds with mics.

Of all those that you listed only MAG has had any significant impact on the western market (where you "win" a console war).  As for you Live argument you'll find that all the mature adults also have mics and the fact that mute is universal so mute a jerk kid in one game mutes him in all games and the system that trys to limit you getting on the same server as people you don't like.
