That said, I don't see that weak moment ending any time soon unless Nintendo decides to cut price. 360S, Move, and Kinect will take care of that, as well as numerous high-profile games that are released exclusively on HD systems, or simply sell much better on HD systems despite having a Wii version.
Because outselling a ten-year-old console is a great feat. PS3 would be a much better comparison. Oh right, they're almost even so it would look bad for Wii. |
-.- You just totally missed the point of that quote didn't you? To be fair though, it wasn't worded clearly enough. He was referring to the way the Wii is the fastest selling console ever, beating the previous record holder PS2. And with a strong line up of software appealing to core and casual gamers leading into mid 2011, such as Wii Party, Donkey Kong Returns, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Metroid Other M, Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword... I think the Wii will keep chugging along really well without another price drop for a while. I don't expect to see a price drop until maybe sometime in the last half of next year.
