If -220,000 YoY is down "severily" (severely), then we have very different definitions of the word. Now, if you were talking about compared to 2008, then you might be on to something.

Nevermind it's actually up YTD in Japan and the US versus 2009. People are making too many proclimations without actually looking at the numbers.

True, EU is the main issue here. However it will start trending down by alot from now till the holidays. and unless Wii party DK manage a big boost in the west, there certainly looks like another 20% decline on the way. It is way too close to the PS3 now

It's going to decline YOY for the 2nd half obviously, but so probably is every platform except 360 (thanks to slim, Reach and Kinect).
Truthfully, I sort of think the platform that could potentially impede Wii the most at the end of the year is 3DS...
