Any talk of why NMH2 bombed so hard? Or what about S&P2?

There must be some reason all these core games bomb on the Wii. Or we should atleast hear an excuse.

The fact that NMH2 has a limited appeal to begin with and was released with barely a whisper of marketing attached to it on the same day that Mass Effect 2, M.A.G., and to a lesser extent Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom was also released may have something to do with its underperformance.

Sin & Punishment 2 was never going to sell well because, among other things, it's a rail-shooter, which means its success is going to be very limited (unless it has a huge name attached to it, which it didn't).

I'm not bashing either game, though. I think both of them are great.

Well in my opinoin, the original was not very good and that might have a lot to do with the poor sales of NMH2. I mean the original sold well so why didn't they come back for the sequel? Even the legs have been bad at discounted prices.

I don't expect mega sales for a rail shooter. But I was expecting better than it has received. Its almost like TV advertising had no impact.

You might be right in that people who didn't enjoy the first were put off from getting the second, but I think Ubisoft's failure to acknowledge the game's existence hurt just as much if not more. I was reading more than a few comments from fans of the first game who didn't even know the second was out weeks after its release. Of course, there's no real exact answer to why games sell/don't sell, so it's possible we're both right.
