That's asking for the impossible, but we'll see.

Selling well by Metroid standards isn't all that hard. Breach a million and you're just fine. They're gunning for more with this one clearly, but remember that the previous record for Metroid sales is roughly 2.8 million. Not a high hurdle.

 

Really it is incredibly misplaced as one of the "big 3," but putting Zelda in the same tier as Mario is also erroneous. Really Nintendo's big 3 are Mario, Pokemon, and Miis, and Zelda is down in a second tier with Smash Bros, and Metroid's down in the third tier.
