Modern Warfare 1 and 2 is probably my favorite console FPS to date, unfortunately Activision destroyed the franchise when they went in and fired the top cats at Infinity Ward. Infinity Ward was the company who basically changed the game when it comes to FPS's on the console. And since Activision fired West and Zampella I doubt that the innovation will still be there (if Infinity Ward even survives this mess).
On topic, I do believe the new COD game will eat away at Modern Warfare 2's sales. So will MW2 make it to 10 million? Probably but I think it will take it 1-2 years.
