I don't think it'll sell as well as Prime 3.  The trend with Wii games has typically been that sequels sell well below their prequels.  Each incarnation of Resident Evil on the Wii has sold less than the previous release (RE4 included, selling the most).

While I'm going to get it because I'm a huge Metroid fan, I already have serious misgivings about the product.  Samus doesn't look right, the gameplay looks like it might be too linear (they did say it was going to be more like Fusion, which is the worst game in the franchise), and two hours of cinematics just sounds annoying.

i think you got it quite wrong. Another M is hardly a sequel to prime(a game that didnt sold too good compared to major shooters  on the wii). Is like saying NSMW was gonna sell worse than Mario Galaxy 1. Obviously that wasnt the case. Prime was a bit stale at that point, at its fps nature did alienate quite some Metroid players. A good marketting push will surely boost Another M above prime 3.

Um, I know full well Other M isn't a sequel to the Prime series.  The Prime series all took place prior to Super Metroid, just after the original game, as I recall.  Other M takes place between Super and Fusion.  Prime 3 also sold better than other shooters on the Wii, largely because it was A) a Nintendo game, B) a sequel to a popular franchise, and C) FPS on the Wii done right.

The FPS nature of the Prime games alienated no Metroid fans once they stepped into the title.  On the other hand, I've heard that Other M will be "like Fusion" in being guided along the whole time, which is very much not how a Metroid game should be.  It should be about isolation and exploration.  This one is totally not going that route.  Fingers crossed, though.
