However, if you want to play the flashy new blockbuster games, you have to buy a 400-600 dollar system instead of a 130-250 dollar one. That's important to note: imagine if tickets for Spider Man 3 really did cost twice or thrice those for movies with less special effects. |
I can see your point, but personally I'd use the analogy of DVDs vs HD media (Blu-ray or HD-DVD); with movie tickets you really aren't buying anything else apart from the ticket, but in order to watch a movie at home with any media you have to also buy the player.
