The third party games that are getting a lot of attention amongst gamers and here on vgchartz are definitely Epic Mickey and Goldeneye. But looking at the release schedule it looks like most of the Wii's successful 3rd party games are getting sequels or follow ups in the 2nd half of 2010 most in of them in Q4. All of these games are sequels or follow ups to games that sold more than a million on Wii (Includes all titles not just exclusives).
Just Dance 2 (Just Dance has sold 3.78m)
New Carnival Games (Carnival Games has sold 3.69m)
EA Sports Active 2 (EA Sports Active has sold 3.32m)
Cabela's North American Adventures (Cabela 2010 has sold 1.13m)
Raving Rabbids: Travel In Time (Going back to the successful minigame style which resulted in the first 3 games selling 1.5m each)
Star Wars: Force Unleashed 2 (Force Unleased sold 1.47m)
Call of Duty Black Ops (COD:MW RE has sold 1.12m)
Disney Sing It: Party Hits (Disney Sing it sold 1.06m)
Guitar Hero (GH 5 sold 1.11m)
Rock Band 3 (Beatles Rock Band sold 1.27m)
Also Sonic Colors, My Sims Sky Heroes, and Deca Sports 3 are from franchises that have games that have sold more than a million on Wii.
With other games like NBA Jam, Disney Guilty Party, EA's Create, the recently announced uDraw tablet and its games all having potential to do well also.
You can debate the quality or the appeal of those games for you, but I think as far as games with a pedigree for selling well on the system this is by far the strongest 3rd party line up the system has ever seen. It is very likely that some of these games will pull a Red Steel 2 or Tiger Woods 11 and sell very poorly even though previous games sold very well. But with that many titles I think quite a few of them should do very well.
So do you think it is possible that this will be the most successful holiday for third parties on the Wii yet? You can think about it both total units of 3rd party software sold and number of million sellers.
For a quick reference here is how 2nd Half of previous years performed. (I came up with these numbers doing a quick look through the top 50 each year, so if a game didn't make it into the top 50 the year it was released but went on to sell a million then I didn't catch it, so it might be plus 1 or 2 each year)
2009 2nd Half had 8 million seller 3rd party titles.
2008 2nd Half had 8 million seller 3rd party titles.
2007 2nd Half had 12(?!) million seller 3rd party titles.
