Software wise it has been mostly DS/PSP, and some Wii games. I know this week is a holiday but with only 1 game in the top 20, yet it still got a nice size holiday boost. Are there just tons of PS3 games outside the top 20 selling a few thousand each week that are pushing PS3 sales or have the multimedia functions of the system become more popular, or is it something else? |
PS3 has no games releasing lately, and people in Japan take longer to buy software (almost every console launching there starts with a sub-1 attach rate) and PS3 should have plenty of games in the used bucket already. While piracy in Japan is almost non-existent there is a big used game market there. Since the NES days people have stopped of storing games there.
