This is completely opinionated of course, but from what I've seen the ps3 is stepping it up a notch in the graphics department lately. Specifically in "INFAMOUS 2, RATCHET AND CLANK 4 FOR ALL, KILLZONE 3, and UNCHARTED 2".
According to many critics, and gamers, UNCHARTED 2 is the best looking game on consoles this generation thus far.. and GOD OF WAR III came real close to topping it, same goes for KILLZONE 2.
The latest trailers for KILLZONE 3 have impressed me.. selnor goes on about how HALO REACH's scale makes it technically impressive, but the KZ3 trailer showed the scale with the graphics, and that really impressed me.. especially considering the multiplayer is 16 vs 16 or more.
KZ3 is showing to me that it has the potential to surpass Uncharted 2 visually.. but recently INFAMOUS 2 has impressed me more so.. the gamescon trailer showed an open world game with visuals surpassing most games released this gen despite the fact is is an open world game.. in fact the destruction and things going on screen have impressed me greatly.. and if you take a look at that trailer I'm sure you may agree..
and then we have the new Ratchet and clank.... why do I bring it up...? Well because I think it has literally jumped itself and developed quite a gap between itself and the first ratchet game on ps3.. in fact it's very close.. to pixar level visuals imo..
