No the perfect entry point in the franchise is ME1. Having a long intro movie doesn't solve the major problem with having ME2 without ME1. ME1's major draw was having your decisions carry over throughout the trilogy. I beat ME1 a dozen times on 360 and depending on which of Shepards you picked the intro to ME2 would have to change. The outcome in ME1 varies based on what you do. The Wrex and Rachni Queen decisions come to mind.
If you are going to give PS3 owners the ME experience, give them the whole experience. PC and 360 owners get the joy of seeing how what they did in ME1 effects there quest in ME2. PS3 owners are getting denied that very cool experience.
