FF8 Rant - should I continue playing it?

One line that was probably mistranslated?  I mean the entire song is the story of Julia and Laguna, it's meaning was spot on for what it was made for.  Though I'm not saying Eyes on Me is better mind you, but anyways how about we agree that Vivi was a cool mage?  Even better than that mage from the first game!
