I think welshie has a good point. If I ever get Wii or 360 I'll only be buying used games. There's probably only a few more PS3 games this gen I'll buy new. I've bought more PS3 games new than I did PS2 games, so my new game buying phase is almost over. its not just you who is buying games so your excuse is full of shit by your say all the old games should just stop selling cause new console owners would only buy used games but they are selling As to Squillies idea that RROD fear has been holding people back, well for me there was no way I was buying a used phat 360 when the next gen starts. But now I'm almost certain to be buying a used 360s (prolly Arcade) a year or so after Nextbox releases. So take that for what you will. sure but we aren't talking about used stuff here and still there would only be some fearing RROD not millions |

When i bought my 360 i bought 4 or 5 games with it, all of them were second hand, with that im saying that, of course, lots of people are upgrading, probably the major chunk of the new sales are upgrades, but you have to consider also that many are from people with other consoles, that always wanted a 360 but never felt comfortably buying one, because it might broke down, but with the redesign they feel its safe to buy one now ,and these are gamers that are well informed and know how to get cheap games Because the slim is still a novelty, it will always attract existing gamers first be it existing 360 owners or other console owners, but when kinect launches thats when we will see if microsoft can attract new buyers in mass numbers As i see it, microsoft as played a brilliant strategy so far, as far as i can tell each slim is making profit(?) so resells are good for microsoft but the big question is still unanswered, will the slim with kinect attract new buyers, thats the big question now that the following months will answer |
again the same shit excuse as all oh i buy used games so it explains the SW sales
if that was the main issue then all old game sales would just drop and people would buy used games but no they are still selling

Before the Slim release, sales were about 80k a week --> So without the slim the Xbox 360 would have sold about 650k. So 1.1 million more Xbox 360 were sold than usual. So you guys really think there were 1.1 million Xbox 360 owners upgrading? Sounds like nonsense. |
your logic is actually wrong
before slim, new consumers were buying 360 which is would have been 650k
and 1.1m that boosted by SLIM would be upgraders
and you really think that 1.1m people are buying 360s and no SW? SOUNDS like nonsense
