When someone predicts the 360 and possibly the PS3 will outsell it this holiday, that's essentially what they're saying. Since we know 360 and PS3 sales will be low (compared to Wii last holiday), for this to happen, the Wii would have to be down like, 40%, at least.

Doomed is a huge over-exaggeration. And even then... How many people have predicted both PS3 and 360 will outsell the Wii this holiday? "Doomed" is a phrase here that is used mainly by the Wii fanbase these days.

The Wii is looking shabby when compared to what we are used to from the Wii. This is a fact. And the Wii being down ~40% sounds a bit much... But it is definitely possible. They (currently) don't have a pricecut. And no single title bigger than NSMB Wii. Never mind NSMBWii, Wii Sports Resort, Tales of Graces and Wii Fit Plus combined.

Add in the possibility of Kinect and/or Move taking off and thus stealing some of the Wii's sales... You have the possibility of Wii being down a lot.

The Source himself said that there is certainly a chance that the 360 will outsell the Wii in NA for the rest of the year, he said it in the NPD thread.
