PS3 YOY sales may be laughed at, but there will be tons of people giving the reason, in this thread no-one remembered MH3 came out at that time.

I'm not saying they do make a right, I'm saying that no matter what sense people use... People will laugh at the sales of something if they notice anything negative. Look at what happened in the NPD thread for example.

They will especially laugh at it when all we've had for years on end is elitist "nobody can touch Wii" stuff

However, it doesn't mean you have to be the first one to do it though. What you did just means you are one of those people.
