If it weren't for The Last Remnant, SE would be useless to me when it comes to consoles. The character design, battle system, and city architecture in TLR is great. It has real side quests and did I mention the cities? Despite it's technical flaws, The Last Remnant was actually a fun game.
Unlike FFXIII, I really wanted to like FFXIII. I bought into the BS about it being like FFX. FFXIII is causing me to seriously reconsider the order of my least favorite games in the series. It may do something I didn't think possible and dethrone FFVII as my least favorite game in the series. Just thinking about playing FFXIII again fills me with dread.
The SE remakes on DS are great fun. Unfortunately I can't use the DS for extended periods of time. I was going to get an XL but with the 3DS being announced, I'm not sure I can justify the purchase. Especially when I can use that money to pick a PSP 3000 and some games I've considered picking for the platform. Lunar, FF Tactics, Valkyria Chronicles 2, and Tactics Ogre come to mind.
