We'd have to be sure to specify development teams/studios vs development houses/publishers. For example, comparing Nintendo in its entirety to studios like Insomniac doesn't seem fair. Splitting Nintendo up into its various EAD groups, Retro Studios, etc., however, would be just fine.
But then you have issues with gray areas, like teams that are known for their work but are part of a larger studio (Team ICO being a part of Sony's Japan Studio, for example), or development houses that have different teams/studios that aren't celarly defined to the public, like Capcom.
