Btw when do I use sonic bombs on him? As soon as he goes completely under or what? Sometimes it doesn't work when I throw it as he's digging. Also how do I tell if he's in rage mode? Constant dig?

I always thought it was the black breath that indicated rage (since i've been able to bomb him after a scream, so scream doesn't equal rage like it does with some monsters), though i'm not the person to ask for help on Diablos. Right after he digs is best, though i think it'll work whenever he's underground, as long as you throw it near where he is.
