I would be not so sure dude. Right now the PS3 still seems to be pretty expensive to produce, like some $280 until it reaches the shelves... by the time it is able to get down to $199 it will be pretty much irrelevant like when the PS2 got to $99.

it will be easily be able to be $199 next year and it won't be anywhere near irrelevant

Worse, it will be time for Wii 2 to release. 

Wii2 isn't coming till 2012 atleast and 2013 at max

Which hope Sony could have going against something likely to release with as much hype and support as the 3DS is having right now?

Wii's recent decline doesn't give a sign towards hype.hype is mostly created when some hardcore are waiting for the product and then the casuals join because of the COOL thing everybody's been waiting for,wii isn't like that much by hardcore's
