It's not that they won't give the numbers unless you pay, or analysis tools, it's that they'll probably provide more detailed numbers, better tools, hundreds of pages reports... to those who want to pay for them, mainly investors and VG related companies. I'm sure that way they can provide us better service for free, and they earn more money, money they deserve for all their work.
It's hard to maintain free a community like this, only with ads earnings. They are looking to diversify the earnings so we can keep what we have for free.
