Just for records, GTA3 didn`t boost PS3 sales on week release.
BUT, GTA3 had overall effect in PS2 sales.
Same with Warhawk, Lair, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet, Uncharted, Folklore, UT3 - these games didn`t made OMG boost in sales of PS3, BUT HELPED to reach around 9 mln. consoles sold by the end of 2007.
In reality, i can see only FFXIII and maybe GT5, which could alone sell over 300k consoles. Though probably, 30% of those who wanted GT5, will buy ps3 after GT5:P release. There are some chances for KZ2 with proper adverising, like "most cinematic game in history". =)

Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.
1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.
PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
