A Crack in Time is without a doubt my favorite platformer of the generation. I enjoyed Tools of Destruction quite a bit, but ACiT is just a phenomenal game in every way. The gameplay is superb, everything from planet exploration, to the Clank puzzles, and the space flight sections. I couldn't believe so many reviews ripped on the flying sections, sure the combat was a bit lackluster, but to be honest I spent most of my time gawking at the gorgeous visuals. The artists at Insomniac did an amazing job with ACiT. But hell, it's not just the art design, the graphics of ACiT are also a huge step up from Tools of Destruction and Resistance 2.
If you haven't gotten ACiT and enjoy the Ratchet series, pick it up for $30 or less. It's a far better game than Tools of Destruction, and one of only 3 games I've platinum'd this generation (along with Uncharted 2 and Mirror's Edge).
