| Lafiel said: @ llewdebkram ) well, 3D TVs are able to display 2D stuff, surpring isn't it? And the shutter-technique is pretty easy to implement, so soon every new TV will be a "3D TV" anyway. @ Ldn.se) Hmm.. I haven't tested any of the sets yet, but I read in reviews, that out of the LCD 3DTVs the Samsungs right now are the best. In 3D mode there seem to be some issues with cross talk though, which aren't as prominent on Plasma 3DTVs. The Panasonics seem to do a very good job there. 400Hz theoretically should be able to further reduce cross talk(if it's even available in 3D mode - many of the current 3DTVs only support 100/120Hz in 3D mode), but you really should read reviews on that matter. If the LG you are talking about is the LX9500, it seems to have problems in that regard according to this http://www.3d-display-info.com/lgs-lx9500-3d-tv-reviewed-too-much-crosstalk . Apart from that I read LG received an award for a "cross talk free" TV they showed at "DisplayWeek", but that one works with polarizing and not with shutter glasses. http://www.sid.org/pressroom/100525.html |
Thanks Lafiel. Am about to place the order. I've already purchased 2 high speed HDMI cables as this helps to reduce cross talk and overall the pic quality is way better. One for PS3 and one for the free 3d blu ray player. If all goes well the tv will be here nxt Saturday.
