Oh yeah, and hopefully  certain developers won't take forever to release a game for the PS3.

  • Polphony Digital: took 4 years for GT5 (hopefully)
  • Sucker Punch: took 3 years for Infamous
  • Guerrilla Games: took 3 years for Killzone 2
  • Team ICO: Have yet to release TLG (hopefully 2011)
  • Sony Santa Monica:  took 3 to release GOW3 (Probably could have released GOW2 on PS3)
  • Zipper: took 4 years to release a PS3 game (were Making PSP games)
Imagine if all these developers started 1 or 2 years after the PS3's release like Naughty Dog or Insomniac (although Resistance 2 sales were quite disappointing). Not to mention other games that took a while to make like Final Fantasy that  increased sales even though it wasn't exclusive. I don't blame some of them because they were working on other projects (PSP games, PS2 games). Some of the blame also goes to Sony for making the PS3 so complex. Hopefully Sony doesn't make that mistake with the PS4. IMO, PS3's complexity was the main reason why initial PS3 sales were lackluster.
