| Reasonable said: No Pie charts? Percentage comparison's need Pie charts! Interesting info. Any chance of adding a split between SP only and Online titles? That's a demographic view I'd like to see, possibly by rating, too. For me the other statstic often not looked at is online gameplay. I'd be interested to know what's being played the most - I mean, I know in advance it's going to be shooters (not just for 360 but PS3, too) but I'd be curious to see just how much shooters dominate online. Although technically a lot of those titles aren't seen as 'just shooters' it's obvious that action dominates the console - and I'm expecting the PS3 to look very similar. Finally, a split of exclusives vs multi would also be good to see - although with the 360 you'd be entering the console exclusive minefield! Oh, and Pie charts please! It's interesting just how big the Lego titles are, now, on all platforms. Final thought - what percentage of million sellers were bundled (I mean majorly, like Kung Fu Panada, not special bundles and the like)? That would also be interesting to highlight some of the title that got a helping. |
To be completely honest, I stopped reading at pie. So bear with me.
Actually, it would be fun to keep expanding this thread with more and more comparisons, such as what you've already mentioned. My initial thought was obviously rating in regards to million sellers, but as you stated, there's a lot more to it than that.
As for the bundled part, I originally had some of that in, but the problem is that there's been different amounts of bundling, from the heavily bundled (Kung Fu Panda) to the lightly bundled (FFXIII). Maybe I should just refrence those that are heavily/lightly bundled and be done with it.
As for the exclusives, are you crazy man? Someone will hear you!
