I purchased this game just last week and so far I really like it a lot. My only two quibles with it are that the less-than-stellar voice work (Tales of Symphonia and Fragile were far better localized), and a couple of jagged images on the otherwise beautiful graphics, but all in all I have to say it was worth the wait.
Yasunori Mitsuda's score is beautiful, the characters, storyline and settings, although cliche, are presented well. It is only a matter of time until we see the release of Xenoblade and The Last Story, but if you're looking for something enjoyable to play, Arc Rise Fantasia could be worth checking out. Granted it's not as high profile as others, but you could really do a whole lot worse.
