I was upset at first, because I wrote a fairly long follow-up post. Then I made the miraculous discovery that I could open another Reply window, hit Ctrl Z(Undo) and most of my post reappeared! Give it a try(with something simple) and see if it works for you.
Possibly relevant info: Windows 7 64-bit and Google Chrome.
EDIT: Confirm it works for me with Firefox as well. Let's spread the word, don't ever let a misclick equal a non-post again.
