Xbox 360 epic sales... I'm kinda glad Wii is taken a blow... they betrayed a lot of Nintendo gamers... turning casual... it makes me cringe just thinking about it. The Wii is a fairly good console because of a nice handful of games but not like it was in SNES and N64 days when they were give us hardcore games but somewhere around the gamecube it turned into a casual gaming console and now I'm no longer a Nintendo boy... Xbox 360 guy now.(sigh)

I cant understand this line of logic... did Nintendo stopped making the games you like? or why do you say that

It should be obvious... Nintendo used to basically be what the PS3 and Xbox 360 is today. They changed and it's that change that left me change aswell. I enjoy mario games and Zelda too but I'm sorry that 3rd party support meant too much to me.

But firstly you're saying they turned casual during the GC era and that's the reason why you hate the Wii, and in your second post your hate is because of third party support...what's the real reason? N64 had little support by third parties and the Playstation brand was the most known brand in the world by casual players.

Read my post carefully because it's vague and really just a guess at when Nintendo turned casual... and its the best guess anyone can make...I said somewhere around the gamecube it turned into a casual gaming console. The point is it changed.

I thoroughly enjoyed my N64 that's the difference.... Turok, Golden Eye, Duke Nukem 64... The Nintendo 64 were supporting mature games or as I hate to call em, hardcore games.

I don't know what your digging for because it isn't hard to see the difference between Xbox 360/PS3 and the Wii. I don't really hate Nintendo... its TOO hard hate Nintendo because of the games theyve made in the past... I do resent Nintendo though a little.

This is how a lot of people feel... can't be the first time you heard someone talk about Nintendo that way.

There's a lot of people like you, but you can't blame both the casual games and the third party support really.

Nintendo made some casual games and some games like MK are a bit worse than the previous iterations...but other games, like the 3D mario games, are a lot better! As a whole Nintendo didn't change that much, there are just few franchises not on the Wii (Starfox and F-Zero).

For the third party support you're totally right, but Nintendo in 2006 wasn't the big winner like now, they couldn't buy big games like Sony and, especially, MS do. And If you can't do it in the first years, it doesn't matter what you do next, your console will have the same userbase.

It's as if you don't care about all the great games the wii doesn't have because of 3rd party... I'm amazed that anyone can be fine with just Nintendo's first party games and handful of other great games that are there when there's so much more available just a console away. I've found that people that are okay with the Wii always argue well we still have Mario and Zelda... and Metriod... Nintendo hasn't changed.... What about FINAL FANTASY? What about FPS games like Red Faction, Bioshock, and MW2? How about Fallout 3? Games like Borderland?  Assassin's creed...you can't ignore 3rd party... it's even possible to be convinced that 3rd party is more important then the first party games unless your the up-most biggest fan of some first party games and I mean like hardcore.... but those I imagine to be a niche. Sure I can buy Halo 3, and 11 million others right next to me... but only a niche of those people are hardcore Halo fans and play that game EVERY day and have hardly any other games.

I've been playing Nintendo since I was 3 or 4... I remember playing Mario Bros and passing it and ever since then I've been with Nintendo...NES... SNES... Nintendo 64... and even Gamecube... why did I stick with Nintendo... simple, it had a variety of games, platformers, rpg's, shooters, everything... I had CONFIDENCE with them and didn't think about going Playstation or Sega Genesis because why should I? But when the Wii came out... and I kept hearing Nintendo Revolution... I was so hyped and thinking aaah yes Nintendo is gonna make it happen again. Dam I was wrong... they made it happen alright but for themeselves.

Nintendo lost me... so I had to choose between Xbox 360 and the PS3... and I chose Xbox 360 because Microsoft knew I was a big boy and I wanted to play some Gears of War.... NIntendo... went casaul and made games for kids and some of em are probably great no doubt but again and I can't say this enough to someone that thinks Nintendo is aaa ok... Nintendo doesn't have enough big boy games, with the letter M, because those really appeal to me and many older gamers . Mario is great but Mario isn't enough and I won't settle for Wii cook, and Wii walk, Wii eat as games to play after I'm done playing Mario.............

Question

Lemme guess... your a hardcore Mario, Zelda, Metriod fan.. one of those maybe? I ask because the way you talk about Nintendo... it's like oh well Nintendo is just fine to me.

All gaming systems, consoles/PC, have thier perks... why fight over preferences? I like Coke and you like Pepsi, that's it, let's not fight over which toy we like best cause that's what they are. Is someone's preference in a toy important or is the relationship between you and your neighbor more important? Answer is obvious, but THE most important thing is your relationship with God almighty. God Bless you in Jesus's name.

I can communicate without talking... I can send a loved one money without actually sending money... and I can commit theft without the product disappearing, the point of theft is the point of theft not one of it's possible symptoms which is the product dissappearing. The thief wants to gain something without paying for it, that's the point of theft, the thief doesn't have to care or anybody else has to care if the product dissappears. The product dissappearing is just a possible symptom of theft. Gifts are sacrfices, in order to give a gift, it has to be a genuine sacrfice/gift, meaning a copy of the game isn't still in your PC. Piracy is theft and/or being a culprit of theft.
