might be worse then that. the OP is insane. consoles are suppose to go down in price.
the strategy that Sony and MS is using to increase price by raising the size of the hard drive is unconventional, but as we can see it increases sells, and thats why the PS3 move bundle is a good idea but not novel in my book.
