Kasz216, I don't know about other territories but Super Mario Land was never bundled with the GB in Europe. Tetris came bundled with the GB. Atleast that's how I remember it.

Didn't knew Super Mario Bros 3 was ever bundled as a free pack-in game. If those NES bundles included the price of SMB3 it counts as a separate sale IMO.

Edit: and even if SMB3 was bundled, if we take away the bundled ones. I can still see it end in that top 5. Just pitty we can't track those numbers down or can we?

Correct, Tetris was bundled with the Game Boy at launch, not Super Mario Land.

With the NES, by the early 1990s, there were three packages available in North America, as the Action Set, Deluxe Set, and Power Sets were replaced. One was the Basic Set, which was the console and two controllers only, which sold for around $79-$89. The second was the Challenge Set, which was the console, two controllers, and SMB3, which sold for around $99-$119. The third was the Sports Set, which included the console, four controllers, the wireless multitap, and Super Spike/World Cup. That one was around $159-$179 IIRC.

Not 100% sure on the prices ... that was nearly 20 years ago, but SMB3 was part of a bundle that was readily available for at least 2-3 years, and it was in a bundle where it could not be considered a "free pack-in," since there was a gameless control deck along side it that was usually $20-30 cheaper.
