About 2, I agree if MS avoids shovelling Kinect with Wii games rip-offs and exploits its differences instead.
About 1, it depends on how many shops taking preorders are in UK and how many days are left to Kinect launch and whether they all keep that average preorder rate, I really don't know, without all these data it's difficult to verify. Does Kinect launch in UK on 4 November like in USA? Later? If later, the prediction becomes more likely, unless serious issues create bad publicity and word-of-mouth after US launch.
