The signs are overwhelming. Just look at the fact that the PS3 sold well more games at retail compared the XBox 360 last fiscal year despite the hardware sales headstart/gap (almost 4.5 million to the advantage of the XBox 360) at the time.
Although the average PS3 owner still seems to be buying quite a bit more games than the average XBox 360 owner the hardware undertracking here on VGChartz misrepresents the extend. These discrepencies makes the PS3 hardware sales look worse than reality while making the software sales look better than reality in term of current attach ratios compared the XBox 360.
Anyway software shipments increased from 14.8 million PS3 software sales last year to retail to a whopping 24.8 million last quarter! That's really good for this relatively quiet sales period.
